Ministry Trip to Texas

Posted by Keith Howard on Sunday, August 28, 2011
I have thoroughly enjoyed the past few days.  On Wednesday night I was with Pastor John Bates and a wonderful, vibrant and alive congregation in Waxahachie, Texas called Freedom Fellowship International.  They have recently renovated a former theater and have cutting edge presentation in every respect.  It was exciting to present my music.  I enjoyed reconnecting with old friends from Southwestern days, Phil and Denise Geary.  Imagine my delight to find friends from our church in Colorado had relocated to this church, Dan and Chavelle Parker.

Last night and today I joined with my 4 brothers, Jamie, Tim, Morris, and Andy to lead worship at the North Texas District Men's Retreat at the beautiful campgrounds in Maypearl, Texas.  It was a blast to have about 400 men all lifting hands and voices in unison!  Loud, like a roar of glory!  The Howard 5 has never done anything like this.  It was a remarkable experience.

In the morning I will be ministering at an amazing church in Stephenville, Texas, Cornerstone Church.  Pastor Ed Dittfurth is a friend from way back at high school days.  He is an absolute dynamo!  Charismatic, personable, authentic.  100% the real deal.  My brother Mo is the music pastor.  I'm blessed to be able to play, sing, and encourage.  I'm very grateful for the Lord's hand guiding me in the way this trip has come together.
